Hi, I’m Laila,

I create nurturing, community focused experiences for women to rest and replenish, through movement, meditation and self reflection.

I invite you to be yourself here, to embrace your voice and inner knowing so that you rediscover a peaceful relationship with yourself that roots you in confidence, contentment & self-belief.

I host regular women’s circles, seasonal self-care afternoons, day retreats and regularly record meditations to share on Insight Timer, all thoughtfully designed to inspire community, connection, and restoration.

My passions span from women’s wellness & reclaiming the menstrual cycle to ballet, weight training and deep rest.

how did I arrive here?

From my mid teens I was plagued with mental health issues that presented in disordered eating, exercise addiction and obsessive intrusive thoughts.

My mind was an awful place to be.

By my mid 20’s I had a corporate job and any spare time was dedicated to an overfilled workout schedule - looking back it was an obvious coping strategy that I’d put in place to avoid what was really going on in my head.

No matter how busy I kept myself the intrusive overthinking and self loathing simply didn’t quit.

At 28 I found yoga and caught my first glimpses of mental stillness. Although the real healing didn’t come for another few years, I did feel the very real benefits of squeezing a weekly practice into my crazy schedule. Every step I’d taken through anorexia & mental health breakdowns had led me to that yoga class. It was my initiation.

I started to get to grips with new concepts & healing modalities, was in therapy & began to unpick my past.

Finding yoga was the beginning of my healing.

It wasn’t until a fews years later that the universe sent me a HUGE TRUTH BOMB that I just couldn’t ignore…

It was time to heal, for real.

Since then, I’ve spent hundreds, if not thousands, of hours focusing on personal development, training, coaching, mentorship & therapy. Not to mention invested my hard earned cash - I actually have no idea of the exact amount, but I’d guess it’s an upward of 5 figures. 

My journey to this point has shown me that healing takes time, investment & dedication. Although, if I’d left it to time alone I wouldn’t be where I am today. Transformation doesn’t turn up at your door one day presenting itself to you - you have to work for it.

When I go back to that girl, barely enough energy function, yet starving herself & working out to the point of exhaustion, the girl who was suffering with an overthinking disorder, with self esteem SO LOW that she was constantly operating from fight or flight with low level anxiety 100% of the time - I could NEVER imagine myself running a business that supports women to heal from these exact symptoms. I never dreamed in a million years I would sitting in front of a room full of women guiding them through the practices I desperately needed 10 years ago.

MOVEMENT

Whether you join an invigorating dynamic class or a blissfully gentle restorative class the focus is always on the internal journey. My intention is to guide you home to yourself by helping you uncover the beauty in every movement & empowering you to approach your practice from your own unique perspective, moving with compassion and self enquiry throughout.

MINDSET

Mindset is everything. The way you think has a direct effect on how you navigate life. Our foundational beliefs, attitudes and biases shape the way we process information and experience the world around us. Most of the time it’s believed that they can’t change, but i’m here to tell you they can. Through the daily practice of ritual, menstrual cycle awareness, mediation and mindfulness you have the power to choose how you interact with your thinking mind.
